About Ten Years of Almost

Released:  May 24, 2026

Noah Thompson has spent ten years perfecting two things: his pour and his poker face.

As the owner of The Daily Grind — South Philly's coziest corner bar — Noah knows exactly how to keep things running smoothly. He knows which regulars take their whiskey neat, which booth has the wobbly leg, and precisely how many times he can rearrange the bourbon bottles before his best friend Liam calls him out on it.

What he can't quite manage? Telling Chloe Miller that he's been hopelessly, helplessly in love with her for a decade.

Chloe is sunshine in a sundress, the person Noah calls when everything goes wrong, and the one woman who makes the whole room shift just by walking through the door. She's also engaged. To David. The guy Noah helped pick the ring for — because Chloe asked, and Noah has never once been able to say no to her.

Now the wedding is on the horizon, their tight-knit friend group is buzzing with centerpiece debates and barn venue photos, and Noah is doing what he does best: wiping down a bar that's already clean and keeping his mouth firmly shut.

But South Philly has a funny way of making people tell the truth.

With a little nudging from a scruffy-bearded best friend, a sharp-eyed nurse who sees everything, and a jukebox that only plays three songs — all of them inconveniently romantic — Noah is about to discover that sometimes the bravest thing you can do is put down the rag and say the words you've been holding for ten years.

The question is: will he say them before it's too late?
